We have been very busy at Pre School, we have been observing the growing process in our garden and have been watching the beans, tomatoes and cucumbers with great interest, we are waiting for them to ripen and get big enough to eat them and see if they taste good! We have also begun harvesting our sweet pea and poppy seeds to plant for next spring, the children were very helpful and were able to pick the pods so we can wait for them to dry out.

We have had a visit from Jaws and Claws this week, Phil brought some fantastic minibeasts with him, we saw and stroked a giant cockroach, a bearded dragon, a skink, a snake, giant land snails and a giant toad. The children were very good with the creatures and were very courageous to touch, stroke and hold them, as were some of our mummys, and the children asked lots of lovely questions about them, showing care and lots of patience to wait their turn.

We also had a visit from a childrens sports group, the children did a variety of activities and really enjoyed using the field to run and express themselves with movement. The children decided they were on crocodile island and they had to stay in the cones with the equipment or they might get eaten by a hungry crocodile! We have had visits from teachers for the children going to school, the children really enjoyed seeing Mrs Arter from Langham Primary School and telling her all about themselves.
