We are very fortunate to have strong links within our community and
Parish Council. The local primary school
Langham Primary are very supportive of us: the school has a small intake, much of which comes from our pre-school. The reception teacher often visits and advises us on how to get the reception class `School Ready`. We regularly visit them and attend their end of term assembly.
The local pub,
The Shepherd, often holds quiz nights that generate proceeds for local community causes. We have frequently been beneficiaries.
We hold a community café for the local elderly community once a year and this is a great way to introduce the children to another generation. The community café is always a roaring success, and we really enjoy this.
A local horse owner provides Velvet the pony for the children to experience pony rides; she also provides the straw and hay for Woody our rabbit. The
Langham Community Shop next door to us kindly provides Woody with vegetables!
Parents and others in the wider local community also support us in many ways, with gifts of new equipment and toys. In recent years these have included a woodworking bench, a sandpit and new equipment for the sensory area.
