The last week of pre-school was lots of fun.
We did lots of mark making outside with the chalks. We used the floor as a piece of paper and filled it up with shapes, houses and even made a treasure map on it.
We used water in a tray and added ducks. The children had fun using the ducks to sing "five little ducks went swimming one day" and took ducks away each time to count down. The children re-counted the ducks each time and noticed that each time they took the ducks away, the number was getting smaller.
The children asked to do some yoga so we set some spots out on the field with their names on and they each looked for their name to find their spot. The children then copied the yoga that was being done by an adult. The children followed really well and remembered some of the moves from when we last did yoga. After yoga, the adults and children went for a run with their balls on the field. We had a race back to pre-school to see who was the fastest. All children gave this their best effects and we had lots of tired children afterwards!
On Friday we invited all old, new and current families to join us to have a socially distanced picnic on the field. This was a great chance to get everybody together and celebrate our children's achievements before going to primary school in September. Fun was had by all and we would like to thank everybody who took time to buy us cards and gifts for the Pre-School. We are very grateful and would like to wish everyone a very happy summer holiday.
We look forward to welcoming you back on the week commencing Monday 7th September 2020.
