We have started our new term, the children have come back very exited from their Christmas break and have had lovely conversations with their peers as to what they did, where they went and what they got from Father Christmas! We have welcomed some new friends to Pre School and we are helping them settle in!
We have had a parcel of new light up sensory toys, the children have really enjoyed unpacking the parcels and helping the adults set up the new activities, encouraging lots of teamwork and sharing the new resources, learning how they stack and match together.
We have began our new topic for our interest board, the children have chosen to do "We Are Going on a Bear Hunt!", so we have been busy making grass, mud, a forest, a river and a snowstorm. The children drew pictures of themselves, then decided where to position their picture in the story. We then made the bear and the cave, with a variety of bears, this encouraged lots of lpovely language, from size and shape, colours and textures and similarities and differences in our artwork!
