This week we have had lots of fun in the mud kitchen, we added different ingredients, mixing together the spaghetti, rice and sand, making a variety of meals, from soup to porridge, sharing resources, negotiating their ideas and taking turns really nicely.
We have been playing different puzzle games, shopping list, the fishing game and the squirrel game, they encourage shape and colour recognition, counting and recalling numbers and sharing turns with their peers. We have been using the keys and locks to match the right numbered key to the corresponding lock.
We spent time making the giant toot toot roadway, this was a lovely large group activity that encouraged lots of positive negotiations about which way to go, which pieces to use, and how to fit all the pieces together and all the children worked together to create the town.
We have created lots of beautiful craft this week, we used our natural resources from our foraging walk to stick and decorate, we have been busy using the easel for painting, and have used lots of sprinkles, glitter, buttons and fabrics to make collage pictures.
We have had lots of fun with the small world activities, we have built a castle with the duplo bricks, made a giant train track, and enjoyed the animals in the farm.
Have a lovely Half Term break and we all look forward to seeing everyone again on Monday 30th October.
