This week we have been cooking with our new oven The children decided last week to make pizzas, and they made lots of suggestions for toppings. We had lots of fun identifying the different ingredients and taste testing them before putting them on the pizzas, and we ate them with our lunch. This was a great team effort from the children, with lots of lovely language, discussing what we like, what we don't, trying new foods, and using our senses to smell, feel and taste to make our decisions.
We also did a healthy eating activity with the giant teeth, the children thought this was very funny and enjoyed using the toothbrush to clean the giant teeth!

We have continued our Christmas preparations, with our fantastic craft activities, including potato stamping, Christmas cards and colouring pictures. We have also been practicing our Nativity, which the children are doing really well at remembering the songs and the story, and knowing what comes next.

We have been really engaged with the shape and number matching activities, encouraging number and numeral recognition, and using a variety of mathematical language in our play.

We explored the small world, with the farm, Fairy tale creatures and had sand indoors for the dinosaurs, which the children were very exited about, they extended the activity by using vehicles to make marks in the sand, and afterwards, made ice creams with it!
