We have been having lots of fun at pre school, we have been doing some larger scale craft, such as junk modelling, and making 3D pumpkins, we have made feely books, and we have been using a variety of media for glueing. This has encouraged the children to talk about how things feel, and whether they like or dislike the different textures we have used.
We have been playing matching games, this has enabled a lot of turn taking, sharing of resources and lots of lovely language to describe the different items we are looking for.
The children have been really engaged with the construction area, using different types of bricks for a variety of uses, from castles to a zoo, and then using the Diggers to transport resources from the boxes to their creations. This has encouraged lots of chatter about what the children want to make, and how they can accomplish their task together.
The children have really enjoyed our new home corner items, and have been very busy making food for their peers! We have been using our new interactive stories with puppets, such as The Colour Monster, and The Three Little Pigs, the children were really engaged with taking turns to be a character, and showed great recall of the stories and what was going to happen next!
We finished the term with a pyjama party, a big thank you to our parents for donating yummy snacks for our party lunch, which was enjoyed by all, lots of fun, dancing and some really fantastic pyjamas!!
