This week we have had lots of fun in the garden, even though it is still chilly, we have some new bikes and a new see saw, this has enabled lots of lovely sharing, turn taking and fantastic positive negotiations between peers, which is lovely to see.
We had a delivery of new lego, which had a variety of different items, encouraging the children's imagination with lots of windows, doors and wheels. We had many different types of vehicles, and a wide range of buildings, from a fairy castle to a zoo for the animals.
We have really liked the jigsaws this week, with number selection puzzles and the magnetic coloured ball matching game, which needs a lot of hand eye coordination and control to use the magnetic pens.
We also made lots of mess with Cornflour, making a giant puddle of gloop, then to extend the activity we added cocoa powder, which the children loved. They spent time mixing and feeling the textures, smelling the chocolate, and commenting on how fantastic and amazing the mess was!
