We have had a fun filled couple of weeks, we participated in pancake day, the children helped to make the mixture, they really enjoyed watching them being flung! We then decided which toppings to choose! Mostly not the healthy options!
The children have been very engaged with our new gravel pit, they have been pouring and measuring, and using diggers and scoops to fill the trucks and buckets. This encourages sharing of the resources and lots of lovely chatter about what we are going to do with the gravel next.
We have done lots of matching and construction activities, this enables the children to use lots of mathematical language and compare size and shape. We have also enjoyed various small world activities, from the space men, pirates, the Weebles and Peppa Pig! this enables the children to act out real world play and use their imagination!
We have started to make cards for Mothers Day, we have been asking the children why their mummies are so special to them, with them giving us amazing responses with lots of extensive language!
