This week we have had a new home corner delivered, the children have really enjoyed the new items, and have loved using the playdough to make lunches for peers, with lots of lovely conversations and very good sharing and turn taking.
We have had a variety of construction this week, making different buildings and towers, identifying different colours and shapes and their different features, and what they are similar to, eg the window/door etc. The children showed their knowledge of mathematical language, and using comparisons for sizes.
We have also repositioned and changed our artwork area, this was to enable the children to make independant choices of resources for their creations, including paint pumps and lots of lovely sparkles and gluey items for sticking, and extending their creative play.
We are in the process of moving our outdoor space around to fit in our spring planting, and have moved our mud kitchen, the children really liked mixing the sand and dirt together to make tea and soup for their peers, and have used a variety of items to mix in their concoctions. We will begin our planting next week, which everyone is really looking forward to.
