Week beginning 30th January 2023

This week we have celebrated Valentines Day, we have been very busy making cards and baking heart biscuits for our loved ones. We decorated our biscuits with icing hearts, the ch;children really enjoyed the cooking and tasting of the ingredients!
We have been playing with our new alphabet and number jigsaws, which is encouraging the children to recall and recite letters and numbers, and enjoying putting them together as a team effort!
We have also been observing the building works across the field, spotting lots of different vehicles going to site, and the giant crane that put the roof onto the house. This was extended by the children with their use of our "building vehicles" in our sand tray, with several excavations and loading of the sand into cement mixers and trucks.
We had a delivery of new trampolines, which the children have loved. Not only have they really enjoyed bouncing, we have been encouraging counting our bounces and turn taking, which enabled the children to make good choices with their peers and arrange who's turn is next!
Just a reminder that we are on half term next week and will return to pre school on Monday 20th February, have a lovely break!!
