Welcome back after half term! We started the week with our Halloween Party, thank you very much to our parents that donated lots of spooky food for the children, they had lots of fun and really enjoyed it!

We have had a delivery of the second half of our climbing frame, the children are experimenting with different ways of moving around on the equipment and jumping off in a variety of ways.
We have had lots of small world activities, with the farm, the zoo, Peppa Pig and Happyland, this encourages real world role play, and lots of lovely conversations and great turn taking between the children, engaging in a theme with their play.

We have used a variety of number activities, trying to match the numbers on the playdough mats with different shapes of dough, enabling lots of mathematical language and counting in play. We really enjoyed making different marks in the dough with a variety of textures and shapes. This encourages hand eye coordination and independent choices for what they want to achieve in their artworks .

We used the soft play for large scale construction activity, we made a castle, and lots of tall towers, working together and negotiating to accomplish a task collectively.
