We have had lots of fun this week, we have been playing with our new jigsaws and number matching activities, this has encouraged the children to talk about, and to recognise shapes and notice similarities and differences in our environment.
We have continued our healthy snack, we have tried a variety of new fruits, such as figs, pomegranate, peaches and different types of melon. The children have enjoyed helping to choose which fruits, and to help the adult cut the fruit, some more challenging than others!
We have done lots of craft, from free painting to sticking and cutting, this encourages the children's small motor skills and enables them to make a wide range of choices of resources for their artworks.
We have enjoyed the small world activities, with the children making up games and stories to act out with their characters, this encourages the children to listen to their peers and engage in imaginative conversations with others. We have also been really engaged with the role play in the home corner, with the children making breakfast, lunch and dinner for their peers, and even attempting to wash up!
