Week beginning 3rd July 2023

Last week we had a special guest, Phil from Jaws and Claws. Phil brought lots of interesting creatures to pre school, giant cockroaches, giant millipedes, a giant land snail, a pair of tortoises and a python. The children really enjoyed the experience and most of the children were very brave to join in and have a stroke.

This week we have continued to have lots of fun in the garden, with lots of sand, water and dirt in the mud kitchen, joined by the dinosaurs, with lots of smellies and petals from our garden.

We had a very kind donation of wooden trains and cars, which the children really enjoyed putting the different tracks and buildings together, which encouraged the children to take turns and negotiate together to make a town. The children had lots of lovely conversations about what is close to their home and how they get there, by car, bus, or walk.

The children have been very engaged with the different small world activities, from happyland, to the zoo, using different objects as houses, including the cave and making different storyline go go with their play.

We have been busy practicing different activities for our Sports Day next week, with a picnic on the field afterwards.
