This week we have continued to enjoy our new climbing frame and accessories, the children love the freedom to express their movements as they climb and jump. we have used the equipment indoors and outdoors and have made different variations of how to put the equipment together to make it accessible for the younger ones and more challenging for the experienced climber!
We have been really engaged with the small world, with The Weebles, Paw Patrol and Duggie being the children's favorite choices. This enables them to act out real world experiences
We have begun our Christmas board, and the children have been creating lovely baubles and houses, and are starting our reindeer for Santa's sleigh. We have decorated our windows with Christmas pictures and will continue our festive decorating next week!
We have enjoyed the pipe construction, making giant towers and wands, and making cars with the wheels and axles. We have also made lots of vehicles with the mobilo, with the children using lots of lovely mathematical language to describe their creations, correctly identifying the shapes they are using, and how big/small they are.
We had a busy week in our craft area, having lots of conversations about making poppies for Remembrance Sunday, and making beautiful sparkly Divali pictures, and their significance. The craft area will be full of festive craft nest week as we look forward to Santa coming!
