We have had a great start to the new term, welcoming back our friends, with lots of interesting conversations about what we got from Father Christmas!
We have begun to decorate our board, with our theme this term being The Three Little Pigs! We have started to make our houses, our little pigs and have painted a wolf for our board. The children have really enjoyed acting out the story together with paper puppets, taking turns to become each character and using different voices to enact their role!
We have had lots of construction activities this week, the magnetic bricks became a castle, and we have made lots of vehicles out of mobilo, encouraging hand eye coordination and imaginative conversations as to what the children have created. We have used our scales to weigh and m3easure our resources, from bears to eggs, engaging the children with chat about what is heaviest, which is the longest, which are different and the same.
