Welcome back to a new year and new term! It has been a great first week back after the Christmas holidays. We hope you all had a safe but good Christmas and new year.
This week we have had a new toy delivery! The children were extremely excited about this. We have new sensory toys, number games and even light up chalk boards! The children were keen to use them, we spent a whole day exploring them. We also had a lovely donation from a parent at the end of last term that we would also like to thank as the new wooden toys have been extremely popular at pre-school!
We have also started a new display board. Our theme is under the sea! The children have got creative this week, making a boat, people to go in the boat we thought about all the animals that live under the sea. They have used many different resources to decorate the under the sea animals such as paint, string, and pens.
We have been spending a lot of time outside this week to get fresh air. The children have been making lots of sand cakes in the mud kitchen as well as practicing riding the bikes, using the pedals.
We have also had some technology time and have been practising our numbers using the buttons on gingerbread men. Here is a link if you would like to try and practise them at home - https://www.topmarks.co.uk/learning-to-count/gingerbread-man-game
Just a side note that Woody is fine and is currently at Maria’s house! He will be back in due course but for now, is happy with his home-grown carrots that a child had brought in from home (thank you!). Woody is a very happy bunny!
From everybody at Langham Pre-School, have a great weekend 😊
