This week we have started to make pumpkin pictures for Halloween, and decorations for our Halloween party which is next Friday.
We have also made pictures of "me", this encouraged the children to talk about themselves, their features and what clothes they are wearing. They were able to find the colours of their clothes and colour their pictures in.
The children enjoyed using cutters and rolling pins with the dough to make different shapes, and this helps to encourage fine motor skills. We also carried on with our playdough gym which also encourages children's fine motor skills.
We created a conker run, so the children could roll the clinkers and collect them to start the game again, this enabled them to discuss their game and share the conkers!
We have been doing group activities such as sequencing, decorating biscuits and colouring in the lines of shapes. This is to encourage the children to participate in more focused activities. We also did a giant snakes and ladders game in the garden in small groups. This encouraged turn taking which the children did a great job at.
We hope you all have a great weekend and we look forward to lots of Halloween fun next week 🙂
