This week we did a joint Macmillan coffee morning with Langham Community Shop. This was very successful, and we would like to announce that we raised approximately £400. Thank you to everybody who came along to support us and a big thank you to those who donated cakes and raffle prizes. We do hope you enjoyed it and we are looking into supporting other charities in the future.
The children have explored the home corner this week by using the foods and cutlery to make dinner for their friends. One child got the croissant and a knife to try and cut it to put her jam inside.
Other activities that have been enjoyed are painting and mixing colours. The children experimented with the different primary colours and how they can be changed. This created lots of talk about what our favourite colours are.
We used the chalk outside to mark make on the ground. Some children were keen to have a go at writing their names. We spoke about sometimes some people have the same name but that doesn’t make them the same person.
It is turning very cold so next week we are going to explore the different weathers. If your child attends our Pre-School, please ensure your child has appropriate named clothing, as well as spare clothing with them. Thank you 😊
