This week we have been very busy in the lead up to Christmas. We spent some time unboxing our Christmas tree and decorating it with baubles and tinsel whilst listening to Christmas songs. The children helped to stick the hanging decorations up in the pre-school room. We then started making Christmas crafts which included making angels with lots of craft resources.
We made some cheese twists this week which the children were very excited for. They each took a turn to cut some pastry, roll it, add cheese, squeeze it altogether and create their own twist. We then discussed how we need to cook them, everybody decided they needed to go in the oven to cook. The smell at pre-school was divine whilst they cooked!
Other activities which we have all been interested in this week have been the new sensory building bricks, sequin boards and practising our colours using the magnetic puzzle boards. We explored a dinosaur swamp which had playdough, leaves, cereal, and dinosaurs in. The children used the cereal to pretend that the dinosaurs were eating it.
Next week we will continue with our Christmas craft and cook something a little more Christmassy… I wonder what it could be.
Have a lovely weekend everybody 😊
