To start off with, all of our staff would like to thank each and everyone of you that came along to our jubilee party on Friday, we had a wonderful turn out! We also need to give a huge shout out and a thank you to all that was involved last weekend with putting our awning up! We now have plenty of shade so we can enjoy those super sunny days for even longer!
Well, what a week that was! We begun our week with some baking, traditional all butter scones served with cream and jam (some may even argue that it's jam and cream) all the children were able to get involved with the whole process if they wanted too, from adding the ingredients, mixing them together, flattening the dough, to cutting them into their shapes. Once cooked everyone got to cut their own scones open and add their desired fillings ready to be taken home! We hope they all got enjoyed!
We've had so much going on this week to keep us busy. We mixed water and paint together and froze it in an ice cube tray, then we used them to create pictures like giant round crayons and attempted to stack them up in different ways. We've also been making marks in flour, using our fingers to create lines and letters!
Of course the last day of term was the most exciting, it was our very own jubilee party the day we had all been preparing for over the last couple of weeks. I think it's fair to say everyone loved every minute, bouncy castles, slides, games, jubilee medals and then the picnic - juice in teapots, cucumber sandwiches, cupcakes and more Union Jack flags than I've ever seen before. Another thank you to everyone that came along and a massive thank you to our wonderful manager Maria who makes these special occasions come alive!
We hope you all have a wonderful half term and enjoy more jubilee celebrations. We'll see you all back at preschool from Tuesday 7th of June.
