This week we have been exploring the sand with the new insects we have. The children have been burying them in the sand, then asking their peers to find them. The children have been talking about how the insects are all different. Some have more legs, and some have the same colours as each other.
We have been practising patterns with the coloured shapes. The children have been identifying the shapes, colours on the sheet, then finding them to lay on top to make a 3D pattern.
We have continued to take care of our sunflower plants. The children think the sun and water will help them to grow. We have been watering them each day and leaving them outside for when the sun comes out.
Whilst outside, the children have been finding leaves on the floor. We have extended this by using different leaf sponges to dip into the paint and print on paper. The children have been feeling the textures on the leaves and noticing that different leaves have different colours on them as well as textures.
We hope you all have a great weekend and look forward to exploring more of Pre-School next week! 😊
