This week we have had lots of fun on our new farm, and our new castle, lots of lovely imaginary play and sharing of resources
We have made lots of silly shapes in the playdough, worms, sausages and lots of letters and numbers!
The children have loved the new buggies and wheelbarrows. They have found various items to push around, including their peers.
We have introduced breakfast club this week. The children are welcome to come in and have breakfast with their peers in the morning from 8:15am - 9am. This has been a great start to our day and encouraged lots of chat about what our favourite breakfast cereal is. We are asking for a small donation from each family to keep this rolling for the following weeks. Thank you to everybody who has already put in.
We have explored the mud kitchen with cut grass and tomatoes that we have managed to grow in our garden at pre-school. The children squashed the tomatoes with their hands to see whether they were hard or soft. We discovered they were soft and had seeds inside. We then mixed them together to make our own tomato soup in the mud kitchen. To extended the mud kitchen by taking the children to the woods to collect resources for us to bring back to our mud kitchen. The children enjoyed wrapping up and collecting sticks, leaves and other woodland resources.
We have also been practicing our numbers by using the maths guidance mats. These have spots on an ice-cream. The children have been using the playdough to make spots and count to see how many spots there is on the ice-cream.
