This week we decorated a box yellow and blue for all your fabulous Ukraine donations. We want to say a huge thank you to everyone for their generosity, our box has been handed over to the owner of The Shephard pub they have donations to send to all those in need at this awful time. Whilst decorating the box we talked to the children about others in need and what we can do to help, talking about the importance of kindness to everyone all around the world.
We have also had lots of toy donations for the preschool including new home corner resources and magnetic tiles. As a charity run preschool these donations go such a long way and we're so grateful for everything we get given to us. We are continuing to grow our fruit and vegetable patch planting more seeds and watering them when required, our garden is coming along so nicely, and we can't wait for spring to begin.
We have really explored our sensory trays this week adding new resources, colours and textures in our sand and water trays. The children have enjoyed taking this play into the garden when the sun is out and it's slightly warmer. We also took the children to the field this week just to have a good run, we look forward to using this space more in the coming weeks.
Amongst many other activities we’ve had this week, we have used lots of paint in the art corner! Bringing our new four-sided easel to life, using paint and oil to create marble affect, and mixing bubble solution to blow bubbles onto paper and watch them pop into circles on the page.
Another fantastic week for all our children here at Langham Pre-school, look forward to our new adventures next week.
