This week the children have been interested in listening to the Stick Man audiobook. The children have used the book to follow along whilst listening carefully.
We have also been busy making cards and flowers for Mother’s Day. The children wrote in their cards using resources of their choice. They were able to choose different colours for their flowers and spoke about their loved one’s favourite colours. On Friday, the children made chocolate cookies with an adult and were able to take these home for their loved ones. We hope everybody has a fantastic day on Sunday.
We have been spending time reading ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’ and playing the game alongside the story. The children matched the pictures as the story was being read out by an adult. Children were able to talk about the different types of weather in the story and how we are also getting different types of weather at the moment.
We have been exploring the sand and building big sandcastles. The children worked together to make a sandcastle each and build them to make a big castle. The children used language such as ‘strong’ and ‘carefully’ to help each other make the perfect castle.
